Thirty-five all-inclusive resorts on four stretches of Jamaica's coast, most of them reached through one airport. Where you stay sets the length of the ride from the plane, and whether you share the pool with other adults or with families.

This guide covers the 35 all-inclusive resorts in Jamaica that are in our Resort Finder: 14 in Montego Bay, 10 in Negril, 7 in Ocho Rios, 2 in Runaway Bay, and one each in Falmouth and on the South Coast. Twenty-two are adults-only and 13 take families, which is the highest adults-only share of any destination we list. Sandals and RIU each have seven resorts here, Royalton Hotels & Resorts has six (counting Grand Lido Negril, a clothing-free resort, and one that has not opened yet), and all four Couples Resorts are on the island.

Most visitors land at Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay, so the areas differ mainly by the ride that follows. Montego Bay resorts publish the shortest transfers: 15 minutes or less for the three RIU hotels at Mahoe Bay, about 15 for the Iberostar hotels at Rose Hall, about 35 for the two Royalton Blue Waters resorts and about 40 for the Grand Palladium pair near Lucea. Negril is on Jamaica's west coast, and the resorts there that publish a time quote 75 to 90 minutes. Ocho Rios is about 90 minutes or more from MBJ, though Ian Fleming International Airport (OCJ) puts itself 15 to 20 minutes from the town.

Hurricane Melissa, in October 2025, closed the Sandals and Couples resorts on this list along with Beaches Negril. Nine reopened in early December 2025: the four Couples resorts, Beaches Negril, and Sandals Negril, Ochi, Dunn's River and Royal Plantation. Three are still closed, with dates on their official pages: Sandals South Coast reopens November 18, 2026, and Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Caribbean Cay (formerly Sandals Royal Caribbean) reopen December 18, 2026. All three were first planned for May 30, 2026, so ask me to confirm before you plan around one of them.

Two more Montego Bay resorts, JOIA Rose Hall and Riu Palace Jamaica, are closed for renovation and due back in December 2026. Four are new and not open yet: UNICO 18°77° Montego Bay (March 1, 2027), Royalton CHIC Jamaica Paradise Cove (summer 2027), and Beaches Runaway Bay and a TRS hotel planned for the Grand Palladium site in Hanover, neither of which has a published opening date. That leaves 26 of the 35 taking guests as of September 2026.

How to choose

Start with the ride from the airport

Published transfers from Sangster International run from 15 minutes or less for the Mahoe Bay RIU hotels to about 40 for the Grand Palladium resorts near Lucea. Negril resorts that publish a time quote 75 to 90 minutes, and Ocho Rios resorts 90 minutes or more. Sandals, Beaches Negril and Couples include round-trip airport transfers, and JOIA Rose Hall includes them on stays of three nights or longer.

Settle adults-only or family first

Twenty-two of the 35 are adults-only. Eighteen of those list a minimum age of 18, and Grand Lido Negril, a clothing-free resort, sets it at 21. One to watch: Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach takes families until October 31, 2026 and becomes adults-only on November 1.

With kids, compare the clubs and the water

Eleven of the 13 family resorts list a kids' club in our data and five of those also list a teen club, but the ages differ. The clubs at Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton cover ages 1 to 18, while Royalton Blue Waters and Azul Beach Resort Negril run supervised clubs for ages 4 to 12. Seven of the 13 have a water park, and Beaches Negril pairs its water park with a kids' camp that runs from toddlers to teens.

Count the resort next door

Some stays come with a second resort. Grand Palladium Jamaica and Lady Hamilton share their restaurants, bars and facilities. Guests at each Royalton Hideaway get full access to the Royalton beside it, and Sandals Dunn's River guests get full use of Sandals Ochi. JOIA Rose Hall, once it reopens, lets guests use the two other Iberostar hotels in the Rose Hall complex.

Golf and overwater bungalows narrow the list fast

Green fees are included at seven resorts: all four Couples resorts and the three Sandals resorts in Ocho Rios. At Couples, caddies cost extra. Overwater bungalows exist at two, Sandals South Coast and Sandals Caribbean Cay, and both are closed until their late-2026 reopening dates.

Montego Bay and Falmouth all-inclusive resorts

Fourteen resorts in the Montego Bay area, ten of them adults-only (counting Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach, which makes the switch on November 1, 2026), plus the family Riu Palace Aquarelle in Falmouth, which opened in May 2024. Published airport transfers here are the shortest in this guide, but this is also where most of the closed and not-yet-open resorts are, so read each status note.

Negril all-inclusive resorts

Ten resorts, five for families and five adults-only. The Visit Jamaica tourism site describes Negril's beach as a 7-mile stretch of white sand; five of these resorts say they sit on Seven Mile Beach and two more on Bloody Bay. All ten were open when we checked in September 2026, and the resorts that publish a ride time from Montego Bay's airport quote about 75 to 90 minutes.

Ocho Rios and Runaway Bay all-inclusive resorts

Seven open resorts in Ocho Rios, five of them adults-only, with golf green fees included at the Couples and Sandals resorts. Ian Fleming International Airport is 15 to 20 minutes away by its own account, though Sandals says most of its Ocho Rios guests still arrive through Montego Bay. The two Runaway Bay entries, Royalton CHIC Jamaica Paradise Cove and Beaches Runaway Bay, have not opened yet.

Our data records nine reopenings in early December 2025: Couples Negril, Couples Swept Away, Couples Sans Souci and Couples Tower Isle on December 1, plus Sandals Negril, Sandals Ochi, Sandals Dunn's River, Sandals Royal Plantation and Beaches Negril. Three are still closed. Sandals South Coast has an official reopening date of November 18, 2026, and Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Caribbean Cay both have December 18, 2026. Of the 35 resorts in this guide, 22 are adults-only: 10 in Montego Bay, 5 in Negril, 5 in Ocho Rios, 1 in Runaway Bay and 1 on the South Coast. Every Sandals and Couples resort is adults-only with a minimum age of 18. Eight of the 22 were closed or not yet open when we checked in September 2026, so confirm dates before you settle on one.

Which Jamaica all-inclusive resorts take children?

Thirteen in our data. Five are in Negril: Beaches Negril, Azul Beach Resort Negril, Royalton Negril, Riu Negril and Riu Palace Tropical Bay. Four are in the Montego Bay area: Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites, Royalton Blue Waters, Grand Palladium Jamaica and Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton. Riu Palace Aquarelle is in Falmouth, and Moon Palace Jamaica and Riu Ocho Rios are in Ocho Rios. The thirteenth, Beaches Runaway Bay, is still under development and has no announced opening date. Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach also takes families, but only until October 31, 2026.

Are there overwater bungalows at an all-inclusive in Jamaica?

Yes, at two resorts in our data: Sandals South Coast at Whitehouse, and Sandals Caribbean Cay in Montego Bay, where they sit just off the resort's private island. Both list butler service. Both are also closed until their reopening dates, November 18 and December 18, 2026, so plan around those if the bungalows are the point of the trip.
