Beaches Barbados

Here is one for families who plan far ahead. Beaches Barbados is under construction in St. Peter parish, on the west-facing side of the island, where the Heywoods and Almond resorts used to stand. The company has described 601 keys on more than 30 acres, with suites running up to four bedrooms. It will be a sister to the two Sandals resorts already on Barbados. No official opening date exists yet.

• There is no official opening date. In May 2026 the chairman said it would open the year after Beaches Exuma.
• In February 2025 the chairman said demolition was about to begin and the build would take about two and a half years. Treat any timeline as an estimate.
